My esteemed Colleagues,
On behalf of the organizing committee of the 28th Iranian Congress of Radiology, I would like to proudly invite you to honor our society by your attendance and contribution to the 28th annual gathering of Iranian Congress of Radiology at Olympic Hotel, on May 15th through 18th, 2012, in Tehran.
The congress will be materialized by intimate and collegial collaboration of Iranian Society of Radiology (ISR) and North American Iranian Radiological Society (NIARS). Extensive preparation is underway and massive amount of work is being done diligently behind the scene to assure presentation of a seamless educational event in conjugation with our professional social gathering.
Our scientific committee is contemplating an outstanding comprehensive scientific program with focus on the following 4 clinical themes:

• General Clinical Radiology & Ultrasound Imaging
• Emergency Imaging
• Neurologic Imaging & Neuro-interventional Radiology
• Oncologic Imaging & Onco-interventional Radiology

The media of presentations will be in English, although aiming to better serve our members, some of the topics on the first two areas will be presented bilingually, in Farsi and in English. This year we plan to take advantage of the available state-of-art technology in larger scale. You will witness many paper-free presentations & workshops as well as e-posters for our scientific poster presentation sessions.

Tehran, the capital of Iran, with population of exceeding 10 million, is a dynamic and radiant metropolitan offering a wide range of touristic and cultural attractions. During your stay, you want to browse through numerous museums, shopping centers and enjoy traditional Persian cousin. The climate of Tehran is mild in month of May. In parallel to our educational sessions, we are in the process of making a list of all the attractions available to you. Also you may consider taking a quick trip to nearby legendry historic cities like Isfahan, Mashhad, Kashan and of course to Shiraz and Persepolis.
Medical imaging industries, as always, graciously provide support in different venues including holding exhibition boots to introduce their products and services as well as help organizing numerous events and ceremonies throughout the course of our congress.
