Radiology, From ICR-25 to ICR-28
In recent ICR history, an outstanding leap has been seen over the past 3 years. I would like to share with you a few high lights of past ICRs.
Tremendous expansion in the quality and in the quantity of the covered topics has been made. Areas like MRI, Neuroradiology, Interventional radiology, molecular imaging and PET have received special attention.
The channel of communication and intimate collaboration with our sister radiology societies has been markedly expanded. These include collaborations with European Congress of Radiology "ECR", RSNA, Turkish Radiology Society, CIRSE, UROPACS, MIR,….
Over the past a few years ISR also has sponsored numerous educational activities, in various areas including Informatics, Contrast Media, MR, Molecular Imaging and Women Imaging which were well received by participants.
ICR is heavily investing on our future generation of radiologists and specifically focuses in providing appropriate educational events for senior residents and our recent radiology graduates. We expect more active contribution of this particular group in our future meetings.
Radiology management and administration is another frontier that ICR has paid particular attention to.
We owe these achievements to the hard work of our board members and organizers and our enthusiastic participants. I personally thank each of you and congratulate you for your contribution in such a success.
Dr. G. Reza. Bakhshandehpour is highly motivated Neuroradiologist, with exceptional vision, who has thoroughly grasped the concept of education in promoting and protecting our field of specialty. I proudly want to introduce him as the president of the upcoming ICR-28 meeting, 2012, in Olympic Hotel, Tehran.
