The 28th congress of radiology is another opportunity for radiologist colleagues to come together with other clinical specialists in order to interchange views in a scientific atmosphere.
Radiology is the focal point for all clinical fields. There are no hospitals, clinics or even practitioners able to do without diagnostic or therapeutic radiology services in their management process or in other words the diagnostic and therapeutic process is incomplete in the absence of the field of radiology. This makes the radiologists’ responsibility more difficult towards Hippocratic Oath.
Development of technological advances in this field and other fields of clinical medicine leads us to renew our previous knowledge. On the other hand, interventional radiology faces radiologists with new challenges in the health arena. These challenges very much increase the responsibility of authorities in radiology education and research.
The Iranian society of radiology has consistently emphasized on the promotion of the scientific level of radiologist colleagues. The annual Iranian congress of radiology in the same level as international congresses, educational workshops, annual seminars and conferences, encouraging colleagues specially the young to participate in valid international congresses are some of the attempts that have been accomplished in this regard.
The 28th Iranian congress of radiology with Dr. Gholamreza Bakhshandehpour as the president, a scientific and executive committee and all the scientists from inside and outside the country is a place to share scientific and practical experiences in different fields of medical imaging and to become informed about the latest technologies throughout the world.
I welcome you to this congress on the 15th of May, 2012 at hotel Olympic, Tehran and I also appreciate all the efforts of those involved.
